Che Guevara

Ernesto Che Guevara was born on 14 June 1928 in Argentina. He was the eldest of five children. In 1948, He joined the University of Buenos Aires to study medicine. He wanted to explore the world and in 1950 he traveled 4,500-kilometers on a motorcycle. Then he worked as a nurse for 6 months in Argentina’s merchant marines. In 1951 he started his second journey with his friend Alberto Granado. He worked as a volunteer in a leper colony in Peru. He wrote all his experiences on the trip in a diary and named it The Motorcycle Diaries. Che completed his studies and received his medical degree in June 1953.

He went to Mexico City on 21 September 1954 and started working in the allergy section of the General Hospital and at the Hospital Infantil de Mexico. he gave lectures to the Faculty of Medicine in the National Autonomous University of Mexico and worked as a news photographer for Latina News Agency.

After the Cuban revolution, Che served as President of the Central Bank and Minister of Industries in Cuba. In 1965 Che went to Africa to share his experience as a Guerrilla fighter.

On 9 October 1967, Bolivian President René Barrientos ordered to kill Che Guevara. Hs was shot dead by a Bolivian soldier Mario Terán. Since his death, Guevara has become a legendary political figure. His name is often equated with rebellion, revolution, and socialism. Others, however, have remembered that he could be ruthless and ordered prisoners executed without trial in Cuba.
